As we rapidly approach the launch of Mafia: The Old Country on August 8, we've invited our associates at IGN for a series of sitdowns, offering exclusive looks at our vision of the criminal underworld in early 1900s Sicily.
Throughout July, Mafia: The Old Country is the IGN First cover story, with new content dropping weekly on the aptly named "Mafia Mondays" (July 7, 14, 21, and 28). The next day, we'll update this article to keep you in the loop on the latest IGN First coverage so you don't miss a single new reveal.
Be sure to check back here through the month of July as IGN First uncovers the origins of organized crime. Please note that while we've done our best to remove potential spoilers, any purists who want to experience Enzo Favara's story without any prior knowledge may want to wait until they can play for themselves on August 8.
Mafia: The Old Country is currently available for pre-order on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, or pre-purchase on PC via Steam. With that, let's get into the latest IGN First coverage.
9 minutes of exclusive gameplay
This all-new footage highlights the 'Villa' section from an early Chapter in the game, in which Enzo is tasked by Don Torrisi with sending a message to an enemy who dared endanger his daughter, Isabella. After receiving his orders and choosing weapons for the mission in Valerio's workshop, Enzo sets out by car to Ludovici's villa to carry out a risky and violent infiltration.
Once he rendezvous with a bluntly skeptical Tino and company outside the walls, Enzo must break into and navigate the tightly Spadaro-guarded estate, reach his target, and deliver the Family's brutal message. After sneaking, slashing, and shooting his way into the opulent mansion at the center of the property, Enzo kicks in the double doors to fearlessly face Ludovici down before a dramatic cut to black.
